Graham 's fundraiser for Transplant Sport Northern Ireland

Transplant Football World Cup · 9 September 2024
Thanks for taking the time to visit Graham Kenny's TSNI JustGiving page.
Hi folks welcome to my page, as many of you know I received the gift of a life saving Heart transplant in 2020 something that without I would not be here to tell my tale today.
My own footballing adventure was cut short aged 18 due to my heart disease ARVC as it was too dangerous for me to continue playing due to high risk of cardiac arrest and having to have an ICD fitted.
Since my heart transplant I have been given a second chance at life and to be able to pick up with the sport I love again both coaching with Dungoyne Inclusion squad and playing myself for local clubs and my Country something of which I am extremely proud.
I have been lucky enough to be selected to play for the N.I transplant team on multiple occasions now and have been selected in the squad to head to Italy for the 1st ever transplant Football World Cup to be held in September.
Any help in the slightest towards reaching our goal and securing the funding to get myself and teammates there it would be greatly appreciated.
Organ Donation has transformed mine and my families life and I am eternally grateful to my donor who made the selfless decision to donate. Help me head to Italy make them proud and live a dream I thought was once long gone by sharing far and wide ⚽
Transplant Sport NI are fundraising to send our football team to the first ever World Cup taking place from 8th-14th September in Cervia, Italy.
The Northern Ireland Team is a mixed gender team who have all had life saving Heart, Liver, Kidney or Stem Cell transplants. They have all been training hard since 2023 and are determined to show the World the benefits of Organ Donation, give thanks to their donors and give hope to those waiting on a transplant that life can flourish post critical illness.
And of course - do their best in the Northern Ireland shirt to bring the World Cup home.
The team are supported by IFA coach Michael Boyd, team doctor Damian Fogarty and our very own Living Donor, IFA referee, Arleen Campbell.
