Story
Approximately 70,000 people in Lancashire and South Cumbria are currently living with cancer
After receiving treatment at Rosemere in May I challenged myself to walk at least 10000 steps per day ….. At the end of the month I had walked 180 miles and decided to also continue through June ….. By the end of June I had walked 380 miles and through the generosity of donations raised £1300 on my Justgiving page.
Closing the Justging page I then decided to carry on walking and by the end of August had walked 730 miles. Speaking to Rosemere I have been encouraged to extend my walk to 6 months ending at the end of October. Therefore I have opened a new Justgiving page and invite those who can to make donations to support the Rosemere Cancer Foundation..
The foundation support the wonderful Rosemere Cancer Centre supporting the purchase of state of the art equipment and generally support those living with cancer and their loved ones.
I also wish to raise awareness of Rosemere and the wonderful work they do supporting patients and loved ones living in our region …… My message to everyone is still the same …… If you have the opportunity to have tests for any cancer condition then please do it …… Early diagnosis and treatment is the key.
If you are able please support my Justgiving page
The money that Rosemere Cancer Foundation raises, with the help of people like you, supports pioneering, local clinical research projects; cutting-edge equipment; specialist training; and innovative, life-changing welfare projects for the benefit of these patients wherever they are cared for across the region, now and in the future.
