On Saturday 6th September 2025 Alana and I will be taking part in the Ipswich Colour Run! We are fundraising for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals charity because with your help and support, you can help take care of patients and staff at your local hospitals and healthcare centres – providing those extras that go above and beyond what the NHS can provide, and which make such a difference to health and healing.

Earlier this year Alana’s Gigi (great-grandmother) died and the care she received from the wonderful staff around her in the last weeks and final days of her life made our lasting memories of her happy ones. We will be forever grateful for this but we know that this is not always the experience people have. We have therefore decided to support the Butterfly Appeal, a service which helps make sure that no one dies alone. Volunteers led by butterfly coordinators provide support, company and a comforting presence in the last days and hours of life.
