“Gratitude to the planet for New Home”
Cauvery Calling is a visionary project to revitalise the river Cauvery - one of South India's largest rivers and a lifeline for 84 million people. The project is unique in structure as a mainly economic programme with a significant ecological impact.

Story

As we step into a new home and a new chapter of our lives, we do so with deep gratitude — for the life, love, and resources we’ve been blessed with.

Traditionally, guests bring thoughtful gifts or souvenirs when visiting a new home. But this time, we’re doing things a little differently. Instead of material gifts, we invite you to plant a tree — or many — and be part of something truly lasting.

Why? Because what’s better than ice cream, fruit baskets, or gift cards? A living, breathing tree that will stand tall for decades, nurturing the planet and future generations.

One sapling costs just €0.40 / 1.70 PLN / ₹42 — but its impact is priceless.

Where will your saplings go?

Your contributions will support the Cauvery Calling project — a transformative movement to bring life back to the Cauvery River in southern India. Over the past 50 years, this once-majestic, forest-fed river has lost 87% of its tree cover, turning from a perennial river into a seasonal trickle. Cauvery Calling aims to plant 2.42 billion trees to revive the river and restore ecological balance.

The core of the project? Agroforestry — planting trees alongside crops to enrich the soil, capture rainwater, and empower farmers both environmentally and economically. It’s a solution that supports both nature and livelihoods.

What can you do?

Skip the sweets and souvenirs. Instead, plant a legacy. Every sapling is a gesture of love — not just for us, but for the Earth.

Let’s fill our new home with the joy of giving back. Together let’s plant hope, shade, and a greener future.

With heartfelt thanks,

Suresh, Hema and Nagesh
