I'm proud and excited to run the 2022 NYC Marathon for Summer Search NYC, where I serve as board chair and have been involved for 13 years.

We focus on bridging the educational opportunity gap faced by students from low-income backgrounds, particularly students of color. We do this by partnering with high schools and families in underserved communities to provide students with the resources to reach their highest potential.

Through a unique combination of mentoring, experiential opportunities, college advising and support, Summer Search students strengthen the skills they need to thrive in school and in life. The results speak for themselves for our 700 students and 300 alumni -- 99% of our students graduate from high school, 90% are the first in their family to attend college and 64% earn a bachelor's degree (https://summersearch.org/newyorkcity/).
