We're the world's largest seagrass conservation charity, and on a mission is to lead societal change to enable the recognition, recovery and resilience of seagrass meadows globally—meadows that provide biodiversity, sustainable livelihoods, and planetary life support.

Story

To raise money for Project Seagrass members of staff at Green Frog Connect are running the Weston Super Half on March 24th. Please donate anything you can for this important cause.

At Green Frog Connect, we are passionate about supporting the renewable energy transition, essential for challenging our climate crisis. In line with our values, we believe we have a duty to ensure we are doing all we can to keep our environmental impact to a minimum and find proactive solutions.

Project Seagrass is an environmental charity devoted to conserving seagrass through research, community and action. Their mission is to lead societal change to enable the recognition, recovery and resilience of seagrass; that provide biodiversity, sustainable livelihoods, and planetary life support.

Since the late 19th century, it is estimated that one third of our world’s seagrass meadows have disappeared. It’s vital we save what we have left and restore what we have lost.

Why seagrass?

Communities around the world depend on seagrass meadows for food security and livelihoods.

The leaves of seagrass can filter pathogens, bacteria, and pollution out of seawater, making our oceans a cleaner and safer environment to enjoy.

Seagrasses form dense meadows providing shelter and habitat to thousands of marine species.
