Story

Green Highland Renewables (A VOITH Company) Cycle Challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support

On 19 September 2026, a team of around 15 cyclists from Green Highland Renewables (A VOITH Company) will take on an epic cycling challenge in the Scottish Highlands to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our team will set off from Kinlochewe, with participants choosing between a 100km road cycling route or a 60km mountain bike route. The routes will take us past several of the hydropower sites that we operate, maintain and mange for our clients, highlighting both the incredible Highland landscape and our commitment to supporting renewable energy.

Together, we're aiming to raise £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We're taking on this challenge because many of our colleagues, friends and family have been affected by cancer. During some of the most difficult times, Macmillan has provided compassionate advice, practical support and reassurance when it was needed most. This ride is our way of saying thank you while helping ensure that others facing cancer can receive the same outstanding support.

The challenge is expected to take 5-7 hours to complete, testing our endurance, determination and teamwork every step of the way.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. Your support will help Macmillan continue to provide vital services for people living with cancer and their loved ones.

Please support our challenge and help us reach our £2,000 target. Thank you for your generosity!
