Story
In 2026 Greenfields celebrates it’s 20th birthday and we thought what better way to kickstart the celebrations with a team challenge to raise money for charity.
After some deliberation we have decided upon PAPYRUS a national charity for the prevention of young suicide.
At Greenfields we have always felt a particular pride in supporting and nurturing our young persons, from apprentices starting their careers, to those that have wanted a career change into something more outdoorsy. We also feel that mental health and wellbeing of all our staff is of utmost importance, not just because this increases productivity but because we genuinely care. We feel that supporting PAPYRUS aligns with all of these values.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people take their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247
Every £15 raised can contribute towards life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are changing lives, thank you.
On 23rd May our team will take on the challenge of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks; 12 hours, 24 miles and over 5,200ft of ascent. Can you give them the boost they need by sponsoring this challenge?!
