Hi,

My name is Alex. I’m running this race in memory of my great grandmother, Beth. I never got to meet her because she died with Alzheimer’s before I was born.

I’m also running for my Grannie Annie. She is 92 and living with advanced Alzheimer’s. Seeing what this illness does to someone you love is hard. It changes lives, not just for the person with the disease, but for the whole family.

I’m doing this to support the work being done to find better treatments and, one day, a cure. Researchers are making progress, but they need funding to keep going. I truly believe a cure will be found.
