Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In September 2025, Chris was sadly taken far too soon. Chris was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour in November 2023 and courageously battled this awful disease for just under 2 years.

A friend to us all, but most importantly a father and a husband to Rach, Lewis, Ashton and Mason.

Maggie’s supported Chris and his family in ways that are hard to fully comprehend. It gave them a place to step away from the world of cancer for a little while, where the weight felt lighter and they could simply breathe.

Chris often told me about his time at Maggie’s, the support available to both him and his family and the compassion and kindness shown to them. Drumming, Tai Chi and the friendships he made there brought Chris laughter, strength and moments of normality during the hardest of times.

On the 20th June 2026, in collaberation with New Brighton Rugby club, we will be hosting two charity football matches.

Firstly, Greenleas Saints U12 will be taking on Greenleas Athena in an inter-club fixture, following by a Greenleas adults side taking on New Brighton, thankfully in a football match!

We all couldn't be more thankful that charities such as Maggies exist and now it is time to show them our support and give something back so that they can continue to help others in the future.

Any donations would be gratefully received.
