The Whinhill Golf Club have organised a sponsored walk on Sunday 27th September 2026 from the Whinhill Golf Club to Largs with funds raised going towards 'Beatson Cancer Charity'.

This will be the 16th year the walk has been held for good causes after previous years when the club had organised a sponsored walk from Whinhill to Largs to raise money for the club’s centenary (2011) fund.

The committee of the club decided to continue the tradition with money raised every year since then, going towards good causes.

The walk will take place on Sunday 27th September 2026, leaving from the Whinhill Golf Club @ 10.00am and terminating at Largs town centre where transport (if required) will be provided to return back to the Whinhill Golf Club. A meal will be provided for walkers upon their return to the Whinhill.

Anyone, young or old can take part.

The committee of the Whinhill Golf Club hope as much money as possible can be raised for this great charity.

Anyone can donate to ' Beatson Cancer Charity' online using this page. They can add in the comment section who they are sponsoring.

The names of the people who have confirmed they are doing the walk will be placed on the above page.

In addition to the Just Giving page, sponsorship sheets will be circulated within the club for members and their friends to contribute.
