I am joining the Kelly's Heroes team for their toughest challenge to date to raise awareness around mental health struggles in memory of Kelly Hewitt, whom I had the great pleasure of knowing, and one of my best friends Jonathan (Jock) Sanders who, on Friday 6th June 2025 aged only 39, lost a long battle with alcoholism.

Feeling "at Rock Bottom" describes a state of extreme despair and hopelessness, a point where one feels completely defeated and unable to see a way forward. It's often characterized by feelings of hopelessness, isolation, and a sense of being overwhelmed by circumstances. This feeling can be triggered by various life events, including job loss, severe illness, or the death of a loved one, or a combination of smaller losses over time. By taking on this extremely tough challenge we hope to show support to anyone struggling and letting them know we care and we want to help and support them in whatever way we can.
