It has been a while since I embarked on what used to be an annual charity challenge, however this year we have an amazing challenge for a very worthy charity.

I am taking on a 5 day trek across Costa Rica in support of Deutsche Bank's UK Charity of the Year, MQ Mental Health Research.

This will be a tough one with long days, tough terrain and plenty of ups and downs! We will be walking through rain/cloud forest and also spend 5 nights camping which whilst exciting will certainly add to the challenge.

We will start off at over 3500M above sea level in the mountains and hike all the way to the Pacific ocean!

All the costs of this trip are being paid for by myself so any contributions made will go directly to the charity. Deutsche Bank will also match all contributions (up to £1000 total) which is great!

A little bit about MQ:

MQ is the UK's leading mental health charity. Mental illness affects up to 1 in 4 of us, yet funding for this health crisis falls woefully short, with only £9 spent on research per person affected. This is 25 times less what is spent on cancer research.

Your donation will help fund the most cutting-edge mental health research projects across the globe to create a world where mental illness is better understood, effectively treated and one day prevented.
