Story
Climbing the Height of Everest – For Children Who Need It Most
Over the course of 3 days, we are taking on an extreme challenge:
Climbing Snowdon via the Watkins Path 9 times — a total elevation gain equal to Mount Everest.
This isn’t about chasing records or personal glory.
This is about children.
We are raising £10,000 to fund a specialist piece of sensory equipment that will make a life-changing difference to children with sensory processing difficulties, autism, and additional needs.
For many of these children, everyday environments can feel overwhelming, confusing, and distressing. The equipment we’re fundraising for helps regulate sensory input, reduce anxiety, improve focus, and create a calmer, safer space where children can learn, grow, and feel understood.
This equipment isn’t a “nice to have” — it’s a tool for independence, emotional regulation, and wellbeing.
And right now, it’s out of reach without support.
Why Snowdon? Why Watkins Path?
The Watkins Path is Snowdon’s most demanding route — steep, exposed, and unforgiving.
Climbing it nine times in three days will push us physically and mentally to the limit.
But the discomfort we’ll feel is temporary.
The impact of this equipment will be lasting.
