Story

I am excited to announce that I will be running the London Marathon in April to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). Having participated in the Great North Run half marathon twice, in 2023 and 2024, I successfully raised over £1700 for MNDA’s national campaigns. This will be my first full marathon, and this time, I will be donating all the proceeds to my local MNDA Durham and Darlington group.

The funds raised will be used to cover costs for respite care, support for carers, and assistance for people living with MND in our community. Motor Neurone Disease is a devastating condition. I lost my husband Tommy to the disease in 2017, and I know that the support provided by local groups is invaluable to those affected.

Your donations will make a significant impact by ensuring that the Durham and Darlington MNDA group can continue their vital work. Together, we can help provide much-needed support and care for those in our community who need it most.

Please consider making a donation and sharing this page with your friends and family. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to making a difference in the lives of people living with MND.

Thank you for your support!
