The photo shows me trekking in the glorious Derbyshire Dales - but if you substitute the green grass for desert sand, you can imagine that I am trekking instead through the Sahara Desert in Morocco - which is where I am going next February to support the Oracle Charity.

Head and neck cancer is the umbrella term used to describe a number of different cancerous tumours and include cancers in:

the mouth (oral cavity or oral cancers)

tongue

different parts of the throat (the oropharynx, tonsils, nasopharynx and hypopharynx)

the nose or sinuses (nasal and sinus cancer)

the salivary glands

the middle ear
