Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2023 my wife Sarah was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Although we were lucky enough to find the Cancer quite early, the solution required urgent surgery.
After a really tough 6 months, Sarah was given the all clear. The following recovery period took time, but we are almost back to normal life.
Sarah's health not only impacts our family, but as a full time foster carer - her illness had the potential to impact other children that need us. Luckily, thanks to the amazing people in our NHS, along with Sarah's strength - we are able to continue offering a home to kid's who need us.
Raising money for Cancer Research UK to try and help other people who will be affected by Cancer in their lives.
During Sarah's diagnosis period, several scanning machines were used that didn't even exist 10 years ago. These machines only exist thanks to the research being done every day.
THE EVENT:
On August the 3rd 2024 at 10am, we will do the first ever Griffin Crawl charity trek. This is a sponsored walk with a difference.
An unashamedly, 20 mile pub crawl where only the strongest will survive. Starting at Langsett Reservoir car park and winding its way through the hills back to The Keys at Hoyland Common.
Putting to use skills developed over many years (walking/drinking), in order to raise money for a great cause.
Men only for this inaugural event.
All participants who complete the course (abide by course rules) will receive certification of completion and entered into the Griffin Crawl hall of fame.
