Story
This year, the Coventry & District Christian League & Cup proudly introduced a brand-new knockout cup competition, bringing together teams from both Division 1 and Division 2 in a spirited contest for a place in the final. The grand finale will take place on Saturday, 31st May at 10:30 AM, hosted at Racing Club Warwick FC’s ground – Townsend Meadow.
The cup has been named in honour of two influential figures in the league’s history: James Griggs, who played a key role in its founding, and John Wilson, who served as chairman for approximately eight years.
In a meaningful addition, this competition has also been designated as a charity cup. All proceeds raised will be donated to Mind Charity – a cause that resonates deeply with many players across the league.
Both finalist clubs have pledged £100 each, and additional fundraising efforts will be underway. We warmly encourage everyone to contribute whatever they can to support this inaugural charity cup and the vital work of Mind.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
