Gareth's fundraiser for Little Princess Trust

UK Charity All-Stars Weekend · 25 July 2025
As most would have seen I have been growing my hair since finding out my wife was pregnant with my son. Aiming to cut my hair just after the UK Charity All-Stars weekend to donate to The Little Princess Trust. this will be just over 2 and 1/2 years of hair growth.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
It costs, on average, £700 to provide one wig to a child or young person. This cost covers the making, fitting and styling of the wig.
The Little Princess Trust covers all costs to ensure our service is completely free for all our wig recipients - but we can only do this thanks to our amazing supporters.
The price of making a wig has risen substantially over the last 18 months due to a number of factors involved within the wig-making process. These external influences meant that by March 2023, the average cost of making a wig had risen to £550 while the additional fitting and styling costs brought the total to £700.
in order to raise my minimum goal of £700 I will not only be taking part in the UK Charity Allstars Weekend it will also see me taking part in the Ten-Y-Fan walking up Pen-Y-Fan in full ice hockey kit and taking part in a 100 mile bike ride from Cardiff to Tenby!
