Story
Our Partner Christine Nestor will be taking on the highest marathon in the world, and joining the start line of the Tenzing-Hillary 2026 Everest Marathon at the end of May in Nepal.
More used to climbing in the Himalayas, she will be swapping her crampons for running shoes, and, joined by her nephew Mason, will spend 10 days just trekking up to the start line at 5,446m.
The race, a 26.2 mile / 42K mountainous route from Everest Base camp to the Sherpa capital Namche Bazar, takes place annually to commemorate the historic first summit of the highest Peak in the world by the Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hilary in 1953.
Christine will be running in memory of our Late Partner Tony Lewis and raising funds for the firm’s nominated charity The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.
