Story
Miraculously, this year marks ten years since we lost our wonderful Dad Tony to glioblastoma, and just a year later, our uncle Phil died from the same aggressive disease. It feels like yesterday that we were faced with the poor prognosis and were thrown into the world of brain tumours and the tragic outcomes for patients. As most of your know, this floored our family, and we have each weathered the impact of our grief in the decade since, often using running as a means to work through our emotions.
The work The Brain Tumour Charity do is vital to support patients and their families, fund critical research to finding a cure and advocate for change. So, as a sister team, we are taking on the London Marathon, to raise money for a cause that couldn't mean more to us. We are both super emotional about it and know it is going to be a special way to honour Dad and Phil a decade on.
So please help us raise a huge pot of cash for a seriously worthy cause. 26.2 miles is a LONG way and every pound will help spur us on. We want to honour this 10 year anniversary with the same effort and dedication as every person fighting for a cure.
Love H & Em.
