Those who know me well know that physical activity isn’t quite my thing. However I hit 50 and decided to set myself the challenge of walking the Camino de Santiago in stages before I’m 60. It would never have happened if I didn’t tell everyone - so that’s what I’m doing!

On Friday 29 March me and the long suffering Mark (Mr Stevo) will set off on Stage 1 (70KM over 4 days) which includes a section through (up and down!) the Pyrenees.

To keep me motivated I’ve decided to undertake the challenge in aid of charity and have chosen to support St Helens Young Carers. This is a great organisation which supports some of the most inspirational children and young people in my home town.

If you feel able to offer any support it would be amazing. In return I guarantee lots of laughs at my expense and I promise to post photos and maybe even the odd video…providing I’m not cursing too loudly!
