Oasis Hadley runs the London Marathon!

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
On Sunday 21st April 2024 we (Amrit, Mehmet & Richard) will be running the gruelling London Marathon in support of Oasis' Youth Mental Health Charity 'Talk it Out'.
Youth Mental Health issues are on the rise with 1 in 6 children in the UK aged between 5-16 struggling with their mental health. 'Talk it Out' offers a safe and friendly space where young people can see a qualified mental health worker.

Below are what teachers had to say about running 26.2 Miles!
My name is Amritpal Singh and I teach Maths at Oasis Hadley. I’m in my sixth year of teaching and have had the opportunity to take part in fundraising for Oasis Musoto over the past two years. The London Marathon may be the toughest thing I’ve ever done, or ever will do, but I’m eager for the distance, speed and acceleration-time graphs I can draw up for my classes afterwards!
My name is Mehmet Albay, and I am a Geography teacher. Having studied at Oasis Hadley as a student and worked with Oasis for 7 years now, I have seen the amazing work we do, not only in the UK but also abroad. I was fortunate enough to raise money and visit Oasis Uganda, and I am excited to continue supporting Oasis charities through the 2024 London Marathon!
‘Hello my name is Mr Fawkes and I am also a geography teacher. I have ran a few marathons the last one being 10 years ago, after it I thought I would never do that again! However when Mr Albay asked if I would do the London marathon next year I said yes straight away!
