Madni Masjid was at the heart of my father’s life. He served as an imam here for over 30 years, and it was more than a place of worship to him — it was his community, his responsibility, and his legacy.

He played a key role in developing the madrassah into what it is today, now supporting over 170 children. He taught generations of local children, many of whom are now adults, and helped nurture several of the imams who go on to lead Taraweeh at Madni Masjid and other masjids during Ramadan.

He also mentored and inspired volunteers who continue to serve Madni Masjid today. Always welcoming and approachable, he was at the forefront of social cohesion, empowering young people and strengthening the wider community.

Completing the masjid building and seeing it become fully ābād was something very close to his heart. This fundraiser is a form of Sadaqah Jariyah in his memory, to continue the work he dedicated his life to and to ensure his legacy lives on through Madni Masjid.
