Story
Half a million children a year suffer abuse in the UK. That means seven children in a classroom experience abuse before they turn 18.
This can’t go on – and it doesn’t have to. That’s why we created Childhood Day. On 7 June, the UK will come together to make child protection our top priority. And we’re asking everyone to play their part.
The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.
Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse
That’s why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
Between 3rd and 7th June 2024 the NSPCC's National Training Centre in Leicester will be hosting a range of fun and games for staff and visitors to the centre to participate in and support Childhood Day.
This is our 3rd year of hosting and we want it to be bigger and better than ever. In 2023 we raised more than £2,000 through our Just Giving page and donations collected in the centre which was amazing. Help us match and if possible beat this for 2024 by donating.
In Leicester we will host our always popular tombola, local raffle, cake sale and much more with all proceeds going to NSPCC Childhood day
