On the 1st October 2025, we lost Dad following a diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer less than a month beforehand. It was a short and aggressive illness but Dad remained full of hope and positivity right until the end. My sister and I were lucky enough to have been by his bedside despite him being based abroad for most of the last 25 years.

We are dedicating our fundraising efforts in his memory, with the hope to raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer and the symptoms that can often be mistaken for other digestive issues. It would mean a great deal to us to be able to contribute to research for an earlier detection method so that those with this awful diagnosis can have a better chance of receiving life saving treatment.

Dad became really fond of walking over the last 10 years or so, and joined us on a number of Challenges, including the South Coast 50, North Downs 50 and Thames Bridges Trek. We’ve got plenty of funny memories from those challenges!

My two children will be joining in with the Thames Bridges 25km Trek in September in memory of their Poppy.
