Me and Emily are running the Barcelona Half Marathon on the 11th of February for Aspire, who provide vital help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury within the UK.

Aspire is a transformative charity that Emily's mum, Lynn worked with for years whilst she was in Stanmore hospital after her life-changing spinal injury. Lynn was a fundraiser for Aspire helping them with events to raise funds for wheelchairs and equipment for people. She also gave talks at local schools to raise awareness of spinal cord injuries.

Approximately 2,500 people sustain a spinal cord injury in the UK each year. Spinal cord injury's can affect anyone, and no one can prepare for how it can completely change your life.

Aspire offers support to the 50,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK, from newly injured spinal cord injury patients in hospital and throughout their lives.This support allows people with spinal injury to lead fulfilled and independent lives in their homes, with their families, in their workplace and in leisure time.
