Story
Jack is diving headfirst into the Bertie Badger’s Half Term Challenge along with his very own "little badgers," Ada and George.
The children have curated a rigorous list of 10 challenges for their half term break and they have very kindly insisted that Daddy joins the team. As a Deputy County Commissioner across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, Jack has been told he needs his own fundraising page. This ensures he does not "borrow" any of the children's hard earned sponsorship money!
With some logistical support from the sidelines, the trio will be tackling the following 10 activities:
Running: A 2km Junior Parkrun
Cycling: Jack lacks a bicycle, so this will involve some creative imagination
Hiking: Local trails
Three legged dog walk: A lap around the block
Mini Golf: Competitive family fun
Backwards walk: Navigating the neighbourhood in reverse
Skipping: High energy cardio
Yoga: Testing his flexibility
Snowdrop Walk: A scenic stroll
Piggy Back Challenge Relay: A concept that still requires some health and safety refinement
Please help our Deputy County Commissioner prove he can keep up with the youth of today. Even a £1 donation makes a massive difference and, more importantly, ensures he cannot back out of the yoga or the skipping!
Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. We provide first aid in the community and step up in the moments that matter.
Please donate to our fundraiser and support our lifesaving work.
A Note from Mary
As Jack’s wife, I have taken it upon myself to manage this page to ensure he stays honest. While he might be a "relatively important person" in his role as Deputy County Commissioner for Notts and Lincs, at home he is currently at the beck and call of our two "little badgers," Ada and George.
The children have set him a list of 10 formidable challenges for half term and I am here to make sure he does not "accidentally" skip the yoga or the backwards walk. We have set up this separate page so he has his own target to hit and cannot claim any of the children’s hard earned sponsorship as his own!
Please consider donating just £1 to help Jack prove he can still keep up with the kids. Your support means he definitely cannot back out of the imaginary cycling or the three legged dog walk.
