So here’s something I never thought I’d say…

Yes, you read that right – I’ve signed up to abseil down Luton & Dunstable Hospital, and I’m absolutely terrified! It’s all to raise vital funds for the tiniest fighters in our hospital – and they need our help more than ever 🍼✨

On 12th July, I’ll be taking part in the Trust’s first-ever abseil to raise money for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – pushing myself way out of my comfort zone for a cause close to my heart ❤️

Over 900 babies a year need specialist care at our NICU. The demand in this part of the country is only growing – and the current space, built for just 20 cots, is cramped, noisy, and lacks the calm, private environment every baby and family deserves.

The funds raised will help create:

- A quieter, more healing environment

- A designated breastfeeding and bonding space 🤱

- Private rooms for parents to stay near their baby

- Secure webcam systems to keep families connected

- A bereavement suite, sensory artwork, and even a balcony for fresh air and reflection

Any donation would be so appreciated – nothing is too small, and every bit will go towards helping families through some of their most challenging moments 💛

And if you know me… you’ll know heights aren’t really my thing! So just know this really is me taking a big (slightly shaky) leap – for a truly beautiful cause.
