On Friday 30th October at 5pm, children and adults from Juventes Homes will come together in for a 5K charity Halloween dress-up walk at Abington Park, Northampton, to support young people leaving care.

Every year, thousands of young people leave the care system and are expected to navigate adulthood without the family support and trusted relationships that many of us take for granted. For some, this can mean struggling with education, employment, finances, health services and simply finding their place in the world.

We are taking part in this walk because we care about what happens to young people beyond the care home. Our responsibility doesn't end when a young person leaves our care. We want them to know that they are valued, supported and that they don't have to face adulthood alone.

The money we raise will help support Side by Side, providing mentoring, guidance and practical support to care leavers as they build their independence and future.

Every step we take is a step towards helping a young person thrive.
