Story
Halloween HospiSCARE is hosted by Harry & Lee, a local duo passionate about bringing people together through music. With strong links to Exmouth Community College, where Harry leads the music department, the event showcases local emerging talent and gives students a chance to perform beyond the classroom. It’s the beginning of what we hope will grow into a long‑term community project: creating opportunities for young musicians and using music to make a positive difference in Exmouth.
Hospiscare supports people across Devon living with life‑limiting illnesses, offering comfort, dignity, and compassion to families who need it most. Their work goes far beyond cancer care, and their support touches countless lives — including our own. Both of us, and our families, have lost people we love to life‑ending illnesses. We’ve seen first‑hand how important compassionate care is, and how much it means to have support during the hardest moments. That personal connection is why Hospiscare is the charity at the heart of this event.
Halloween HospiSCARE is our way of giving back. We’ve brought together talented student bands from Exmouth Community College, local performers, and the brilliant team at the GWRSA to create a warm, family‑friendly Halloween event. The Railway Club will be open from 10am, serving coffee, tea, cakes, and hosting a daytime raffle to raise funds for Hospiscare. In the evening, from 7pm, the venue comes alive with live music from Harry & Lee and local emerging talent from ECC, alongside food, drinks, fancy dress, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
Entry is completely free, with donations warmly welcomed throughout the day and evening. Every contribution helps Hospiscare continue providing vital care and support to families across Devon.
As Harry & Lee, we’re proud to host this event — not just as musicians, but as people who care deeply about our community and want to build something positive for the future. We want supporters to feel excited for a fun night, proud of the incredible young performers, and motivated to help Hospiscare continue their essential work.
Music brings people together, and we want to use it for good. Halloween HospiSCARE is our way of turning that shared love of music into something that supports families, honours loved ones, and strengthens our community.
