Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Back in 1988, I ran the London Marathon and always hoped I'd do it again. However, life got in the way and it's only now, nearly four decades later, that I've finally got the opportunity, beating more than a million others in the ballot, to line up on Sunday 25th April 2027.

After raising money for The Adam Stansfield Foundation by going round the 92 PL & EFL clubs in a fortnight with my two youngest sons, I'd always fancied raising more money for them one day. I will admit though, this is slightly more extreme than I'd planned!

So, ten years to the weekend since that round-the-country trip ended, I'll be pounding the streets in the London Marathon. I've run 110 parkruns + 30 other events since May 2024 and lost nearly six stone in weight, with more to come, to prepare for this day, and would welcome any support you feel you can give.

I am hugely proud to be running the London Marathon for the Foundation and am sure it will give me the strength to keep going and never give up, just like Adam did when he played!
