People with autism (ASC) can feel overwhelmed by everyday sensations that others may not even notice. The new sensory room DVLSC will provide a place of refuge when these sensations get too much for the students in their care. Sensory stimuli will activate the primary senses of sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell, through the use of lighting effects, tactile surfaces, meditative music and the odour of relaxing essential oils. So far, DVLSC has raised £3,747 of the £20,000 needed, and we would like to help them close the gap.
