2021 is a very special year for the Foundation of Light as they celebrate 20 years of helping people and communities live happier and healthier lives.

They are aiming to raise £50,000 to support mental health and employability projects across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham.

With austerity measures and now COVID-19 impacting the very poorest in our communities, I'm fundraising to support the Foundation's life-changing work.

Just £5 will provide a socially isolated older person with telephone befriending, care packages and online activities, whilst £10 will teach a family to cook healthy means on a budget.
