Story
For those of you that aren’t aware, our lovely Miss Watson sadly passed away last year. Isabel Hospice played a key role in helping and supporting Miss Watson during her last few months.
We would like to be part of the Rudolph Run again this year as it is a fun event to do, raises money for an excellent local charity and one that is close to our hearts at Herts and Essex. It also incorporates our school values of Resilience, Compassion, Independence and Respect.
Our school is taking part in the Rudolph Run in support of Isabel Hospice, to help them continue to deliver their vital palliative care services to anyone in eastern Hertfordshire who needs them.
Their palliative care and support services are done through their Hospice at Home Team, In-Patient Unit, Community Team, Living Well with Isabel programme, and their Family and Bereavement support service.
To be able to continue to provide their services free of charge to those who need them, they need to raise £8 million every year. The NHS fund 30% of this, the rest relies on the community, government grants, and their retail stores.
