Manchester Marathon 2027 · 18 April 2027 · Start fundraising for this event

Deafblind UK runners take on the UK's second largest marathon, alongside participants from all over the world in the vibrant streets of Greater Manchester.

Story

I’m running the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 18th April 2027 for Deafblind UK.

At 15, I started to lose my hearing. What should have been simple—following conversations, feeling included, understanding the world around me—suddenly became difficult. It felt like learning to walk again. Something that once came naturally now took effort, patience, and resilience.

Since then, I’ve gone through ongoing medical challenges, including surgeries and permanent hearing loss in both ears. Hearing loss isn’t always visible, but its impact is constant. It can be isolating, frustrating, and at times overwhelming—especially when the world around you doesn’t slow down.

That’s why this cause means so much to me.

I’m running the Manchester Marathon in support of Deafblind UK, who help people living with both hearing and sight loss to stay connected, independent, and supported. For many, deafblindness creates barriers that go far beyond what most of us can imagine.

This marathon is more than just a physical challenge. It represents my journey—adapting, pushing through setbacks, and refusing to be defined by limitations. I want to turn my experience into something positive by raising awareness and funds for those who need support the most.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference.

Thank you so much for your support it truly means a lot
