“For those who give in charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward.” (57:18)
Assalamu Alaikum
Inshallah, I will be attempting to travel to Lebanon and deliver aid myself to the refugee camps that are now home to hundreds and thousands of displaced Palestinians and Syrians and many other nationalities. Reflecting on my life and the comfort and ease I have, I have realised there is a remarkable spirit that lies in the refugees we see on our screens daily. With their homes being destroyed, their families bombed and killed, their food taken, they are still fighting for survival. We should all extend a helping hand to those facing such challenges.
Your donations will provide essential food and emergency aid while also bridging the gap between our comforts their struggle. In Islam charity is an obligation and one of the five pillars, but also a means of attaining jannah and blessings in our own lives.Together we can make a large and meaningful impact by giving to the people struggling around the world. Your support is a beacon of hope, the light at the end of the tunnel and the sunshine after rain for so many. JazakAllah Khair for being a part of this rewarding journey!
Around 4 million people in Lebanon desperately need this aid. 1.5 million being displaced Syrians, 2.2 million vulnerable Lebanese and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. Approximately 80% Lebanese people live poverty and 36% below the extreme poverty line. 90% of the Syrian refugees cannot cover their basic needs.
