Story
Join me as I dare to journey, going the same distance a refugee would have to travel to escape the conflict. At least 89.3 million people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes.
Through this challenge, I will be raising money for those whose long walk has not been a fun activity but a necessity to escape economic, political and environmental crises.
Between 16th-24th of February, we will walk/run the distance of the route taken by refugees fleeling from Juba to its border with Ethiopia- 392km/245mi. This journey was made by at least 386,750 people in 2021.
Milo (the dog) and I will walk 30 of the 245 miles!
I would really appreciate your prayerful support and any financial contribution you can afford to give- even the smallest donation can make a big difference!
For example, £12 could provide a family in Iraq with a vital hygiene kit including soap, antiseptic, toothpaste, sanitary towels, shampoo and washing powder.
Or, in Lebanon, £37 could provide vital emotional support from a clinical psychologist to a person traumatised by their experiences of conflict.
