About us
In February 2024, our amazing Uncle Chris was struck by sepsis , a silent and life-threatening condition that can affect anyone. He spent over a week in a coma, and we were told to prepare for the worst.
Our respective journey's to get back to see him in the North East, were the hardest of our lives. Hannah's espresso martini partner in crime, and Becca’s dancing buddy at every family wedding, and someone she always imagined beside her on the dancefloor at her own in 2026, suddenly not being there, was something we couldn’t quite comprehend.
With a lot of prayers, incredible family support, and the outstanding care from the team at Sunderland Royal Hospital, he made it through. Despite having sustained life changing complications, losing parts of his hands and feet, we think he’s one of the lucky ones, as we still have him with us; a survivor.
But Sepsis still claims far too many lives. It accounts for 1 in 5 deaths globally, yet awareness remains shockingly low. That’s why we’re raising money for the UK Sepsis Trust, an incredible organization working tirelessly to save lives, support survivors, and raise vital awareness.
Please help us make a difference. Every donation, no matter how small, brings hope to families like ours.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. 💛
