Story
I am honoured to be running the London Marathon 2026 as a part of Team Havens in memory of my Grandad who we sadly lost on the 8th October 2024 after four weeks at Fair Havens in Southend. What makes running for Team Havens in the London Marathon so special is the impact each mile has on the families, like ours, that Havens Hospices cares for.
Havens Hospices provided outstanding care to my Grandad, and to our family. They supported and helped us through the difficult time that it was, even with the simplest of things, like having a tea and a chat. Havens helped me learn how to cope with grief, even before my Grandad had passed away.
Every member of the Fair Havens team was incredible, before and after our loss which is why I want to run for Team Havens. I want to continue to raise as much money as I possibly can, so that people who need the exceptional care they provide, can continue to get access to it.
Havens Hospices have truly changed mine and my families lives, and we could not be more grateful for the support and care that they provided to my family, and to my Grandad.
This is for you Grandad. I miss you everyday. I love you♥️
