Hannah & Charlie’s Chorley 2 & 10k fundraiser for Lancashire TAAG

*** UPDATE I’m absolutely thrilled to bits to announce that Charlie has entered Chorley 2k to help us reach our goal! ***
Just when I’d lost all hope for Charlie to take part in activities outside of school we found TAAG. A group dedicated to providing sports based activities such as trampolining, climbing, and team sports to neurodivergent children and teens.
Before finding TAAG Charlie was very misunderstood when he attended swimming classes, gymnastics groups, football parties etc. Often we were asked not to come back. This was hopelessly heart breaking for both Charlie and me.
In Nov 2019 we attended our first TAAG session. I expected that it wouldn’t be long before we encountered our usual hiccups and would be asked not to return. How wrong I was! TAAG provided a non judgmental environment for Charlie to regulate his senses and feel at ease. He made friends, and so did I. I became a volunteer within weeks of attending and will now do all I can to help to keep this wonderful charity running.
We rely on charity donations and grants to keep a roof over our heads, provide the facilities we need to run our sessions and to treat the kids now and then to a trip out. Your support will help us to fulfil this.
Thank you
