Thanks for hopping onto our Just Giving page.
Lea, myself and a whole bunch of family and friends will be completing the Pink Ribbon Walk 2025 at Blenheim Palace on May 10th, where we aim to walk 20 miles in support of Breast Cancer Now.
As some of you know my (Hannah’s) sister Katy was diagnosed with breast cancer in January last year at 38 years old. Having lost both our parents to cancer, and our Mum at a very young age, the last year was challenging.
After undergoing surgery and radiotherapy, Katy is now on five years of hormone treatment to help prevent recurrence in the future.
One thing that in Katy’s words truly helped her was attending a free two-day Moving Forward Course run by Breast Cancer Now. There, she met 14 other women who had been through similar experiences, providing her with much-needed alternative perspectives.
Breast Cancer Now also conducts vital research into causes and treatments, funding initiatives like the Oncotype test which Katy benefitted from to assess the need for chemotherapy. Their website is a fantastic resource filled with forums where people can talk and find support.
I’m keen to raise funds for this incredible charity so that others can benefit from attending this course as well.
Anything you can chip in will be massively appreciated and go towards helping more people going through some of the hardest times.
Ps. Everyone keep checking ya boobs/moobs.
