Story

Emily is doing The Yorkshire ability triathalon on 21st may 2023 in aid of the RAF Benevolent fund.

For those that don’t already know, Emily was born at 28 weeks, weighing just 2lb 12oz. She was born with Cerebral Palsy and suffers from a brain malformation known as PMG (Bilaterel Perrysilvian Polymicrogyria), leaving her with limited mobility and a development delay.

Despite her disabilities, Emily is an extremely determined young lady, as proven in April 2020 when, inspired by her hero, the late Captain Tom, she raised over £15000 by walking over ten miles in the days leading up to her 7th birthday.

Now, 3 years older and no less determined, Emily has agreed to do a sponsored triathlon in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund, a charity that we all hold close to our hearts as they have given Emily, and us as a family, so much support in the past

Emily will be swimming 50m (with a floatation aid) Cycling 1.5km on her Theraplay trike and Running 800m using her R82 crocodile walker this is a BIG Challenge especially in one day.
