Story
Rosie is walking 62 miles in October to transform the future of pancreatic cancer. 31 miles for her mum and 31 miles for her friend Lee.
22 years ago on 22nd September this year Rosie's mum Betty passed away 3.5 months after diagnosis which came totally out of the blue. She was 69. She never saw Hannah and her sister Amy grow up, graduate, get married or have children. Sadly there are no signs until it is too late. It's a silent killer.
Hannah is walking 31 miles for her nana who she lost far too soon
Lee also lost his life to pancreatic cancer in 2023. He was 67. Lee was brave enough to have his pancreas, gall bladder and spleen removed. Sadly he didn't make it after gruelling treatment. He died a week before his first grandson was born and has missed so much.
Ian is walking for both of these special people - both of whom he sat with many times as they had their treatment and saw the devastating effects this cancer leaves
Both these people died in their 60s and have missed so much.
💜By donating to our challenge, you're making support available for people now and funding world-leading research to find that breakthrough in new treatments which is so desperately needed. Just £29 could fund further research to improve the speed of diagnosis. £180 could fund three reusable tubes for collecting breath samples at the GP surgery from people who have symptoms that may be pancreatic cancer. Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer. 💜Thank you so much for your support! 🙏
