Story
Heyo, Thanks for clicking through! I'm attempting to travel 125km coast to coast across Wales to raise money for young people who find themselves sleeping rough or in emergency housing in Brighton.
I'm lugging myself up hills and through forests on a bike and then popping up Snowdon before carrying onto the north coast. I'm genuinly a bit scared as the first day has 1800m of ascent on the bike. So please donate if you can!
I work for CTS and see first hand how much the staff and volunteers care about the young people that come into our daycentre. A hot meal, a shower and a nice chat makes all the difference on your path out of homelessness.
“Homelessness is a frightening, downward spiral that can just suck you up. Without The Sanctuary I wouldn’t be in the position I am now. I’ve got my own place and a job." Will, client, 25 years old
- £15 could fund a shower, hot meal and a food parcel for a young person experiencing homelessness
- £25 could pay for cooking equipment and food supplies for a young person living in temporary accommodation
- £50 could pay for a Support Coordinator to spend a few hours 121 with a young person having a really hard time.
- £100 could pay for a weeks’ worth of martial arts and photography group to give young people structure and something to look forward too.
No young person chooses to be homeless. The Clock Tower Sanctuary provides a stable space where young people in crisis feel safe and get the practical and emotional support they need to move into housing, education and training. CTS is open 5 days a week and in 2022, CTS provided 4,834 hot meals and hosted 2,915 unique visits to young people with nowhere else to turn.
By donating to my fundraiser, you'll be directly supporting young people in Brighton & Hove to move from Crisis to Stability.
