Story
Hey all, I’m running the Brighton Half Marathon this March to support Tapestry Day Club - a charity that supports people with early-stage dementia and their family carers 🧡
Tapestry provides small-group “Club Days” - delivered in the welcoming homes of trained Hosts across Sussex and Surrey. Each Club Day offers high-quality, personalised support - including memory exercises, creative hobbies, gentle movement and a freshly cooked lunch, with transport provided where needed. These safe, home-from-home environments help guests feel comfortable, valued and engaged, while building friendships and rediscovering confidence.
As many of you may know - my Mum was one of Tapestry’s very first Hosts - still supporting guests every week in her home. Through her, I’ve seen first-hand the difference this amazing charity makes. Their impact is huge - reducing isolation, building confidence, helping older people live independently for longer - and giving carers the respite and ongoing support they desperately need!
By supporting my run, you’ll be helping Tapestry deliver their highest EVER number of Club Days in 2026, reaching even more families in need across Sussex and Surrey.
I want to say the biggest thank you for cheering me on! And if you’re able to give, no matter the amount, it would mean the world 💚
