I’m taking on the Great North Run in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.

My wonderful Nana Jessie has been suffering with this terrible disease for over 10 years now. Although she is still with us, it’s becoming clear that the dementia is really starting to taking over. She rarely recognises me anymore and even the most basic of tasks can be a scary and confusing experience for her. Let's hope we can beat dementia before any other generations have to suffer in such a cruel way.
