Story
On the 17th of May I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon, in memory of my beautiful husband George.
George passed away following a brain tumour diagnosis, after almost 3 years of intense NHS, and private experimental treatment. He was 28 years old.
Brain tumours are the biggest killer of children and young people under 40 in the uk, with only 12.9% of those diagnosed with brain tumours surviving 5 years or more. Despite this, brain tumour research is criminally underfunded and receives only 1% of national cancer spending.
A cure was too late for George, but by continuing to raise awareness and raise funds, we are helping to work towards effective treatment and support for all those impacted by brain tumours.
Please consider giving generously if you can.
A cure cannot wait.
Thank you
Han xx
