Story
I’ve decided to run the Great North Run to raise awareness and money for Anthony Nolan, a charity that saves lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders.
A transplant of blood stem cells from a healthy person to someone with a blood cancer or disorder can repair and replace damaged blood cells and hopefully cure their disease. Anthony Nolan has a register to connect people with strangers willing to donate their stem cells.
Having been on the stem cell registry for several years, I’m passionate about supporting this charity.
I’m excited to help the charity and run my first ever half marathon, especially doing it alongside my colleagues. My goal is to try and beat my boss, Marc!
