I’m taking on the Great North Run - Britain’s biggest and most iconic half marathon.

Team Verrico is a fantastic charity set up by my friend and colleague Paul Verrico following the tragic loss of his wife Anna, in 2013, to a particularly aggressive type of breast cancer, leaving behind a young family..

Team Verrico was born as a legacy to Anna, to give hope to families, help patients see more tomorrows and never give up on the fight against cancer.

Team Verrico funds research into new treatments and ways of diagnosing cancer; it provides practical and financial support to patients and their families facing diagnosis, treatment or grieving the loss of a loved one; and promotes education about rare or hard to treat cancers.

As Team Verrico is run entirely by volunteers, every penny of your donation goes directly to helping further the charity's mission - to give hope where there is none, and to never, ever give up.
